Bara Siluvai is based on the words of Jesus on the via dolorosa – the way of the cross. Luke 23:28-34. He carries the heavy cross and climbs the hill. He took the sin of the world on himself. 1^st verse : Do not cry for me, but cry for yourself, Jesus said. 2^nd verse : If this is what they do to a tree when it is green what will happen when it is dry 3^rd verse : Jesus said to the Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing.
